OT/New Year could be better

A good friend called from Mountain Home Arkansas yesterday. Figured it was just to say Happy New Year. Said his wife has pancreatic cancer and is getting pretty near the end. Guess she must not have wanted anybody to know. He's 70,they don't have any kids. He's gonna be pretty lonely after the time comes.

Then my sister in law called today and said Ma had another spell of some sort. She said they took her to the Hospital and have her up at their place now. I thought she had gone back up to the cabin with my younger brother. Guess not.

Hope things pick up soon. Don't need the whole year going like this.

My wife just turned 63 and has uncontrolled diabetes Takes insulin every 4 hours.

I am concerned about her Pancreas as well because it controls sugar levels.

Thyroid has shut down and will need removed in March that is the earliest they will do anything.

All we can do now is trust in God.

I'll add your Mother and your friends Wife in my prayers.

The neighbor lady has had a boyfriend/farming partner for a little over a year. Big dude about 51 or so and a picture of health. They made the usual rounds yesterday morning and went home. He laid down on the couch while she fixed lunch and never got up.

You never know..............

Hope things work out for your friend and Mom.

my wifes granmother pased away from pancreatic cancer nasty stuff he needs to search it online the doctors lied to us about her losing weight and we tried getting her to eat what we found online after the fact is eating kills em faster if he dont have a puter maybe u can search it for him gram passed before the doctors told anyone what she had and that was because a nurse let it slip

Hang in there, this may be the year our wonderful state hits bottom and starts turning up. From one Michigan guy to another. Hope things turn out ok for your family.

I feel your pain, and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Our new year here is about the same. My husband has been fighting prostate cancer, but the chemo isn't working. I visited with our local funeral director today to try to set up some prearrangements. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do. We just have to try and keep faith in the Lord.
