BIL has a 07 dodge with 6.7 it has been in the shop several times and now at 102,000 miles it has a #4 cylinder misfire by my obdII reader that tells me that maybe the injector is bad or am I missing something? The only injectors I have found are around $500 each and not sure if this is the problem. could anyone help or have any of you had the same type of problem. I read there is a fix of some sort for the common problems on this but it voids warranty sense the warranty is gone any way what can be done?? thanks guys

Just because you have a misfire, doesn't automatically mean the injector is faulty. You need to verify the compression is good before sticking a new injector in it. This is especially true if it has a power module on it. Melted pistons due to over fueling are seldom covered under warranty.
