OT: 0 - 16 Lions- - - Losers!!!

Well I watched history in the making. The Loser lions lost today to make their 2008 season 0-16.
Here are some reasons that the Lions did so terrible this year.

1. They get paid if they lose or win the games. So it doesnt matter to them.
2. Coach is a wimp.
3. The owner is a cheap 8astard.
4. They ran out of time in every game to actually win.
5. It is hard to catch the ball.
6. It was too cold.
7. It was too hot.
8. The crowd was too loud.
9. The other team(s) had glue on their recievers hands.
10. The referrees didnt like them.
I hope that next year there are next to zero tickets sold and the owner loses his *ss on the team and is forced to sell it. What a bunch of pathetic losers.
 
Poor performance in Detroit seems to be pretty rewarding lately, from the government bailout of GM and Chrysler to the UAWs deal where they get 95% of their pay for not working. Maybe the Lions just want a piece of the action?
 
One of the conditions of the Government bailout money is for the Jobs Bank to be done away with.
It is sad that the top executives of major companies can screw it up for so many others down the pipe.
I agree that the UAW has outlived its usefullness and is not competitive in the least.
 
And one of the provisions of the TARP bill that provided that bailout money is that it is to be used for banks and financial institutions. We've seen how well the government follows its own laws. I ain't holding my breath on the jobs bank either.
 
As I understand things in the NFL, if you finish last, then you get the FIRST draft pick...kinda nice reward for mediocrity.Then, if a team wants to continue the mediocrity, they can trade away the pick...usually for one a lot lower, plus some cash.

So...how important is the cash vs. how important is stepping out of mediocrity? Some teams, like baseball's Cincinnati Reds, seem to revel in their mediocrity...but they don't seem to have cash flow problems, AFAIK.
 
She's a Canadian Socialist who has screwed this state. The Lions have stunk since Barry stopped playing. Maybe they need to go back to the Silver Dome?
 
My team is out with a 11-5 record Cards are in the playoff's with 8-7. I hope they keep Cassell and send Brady to be a male gigolo model. Oh well maybe more things will get done around the house on Sunday's.
 
I don't think it will be a big issue. I think the UAW at GM is under 50K. When the job bank was created, it was 350K. Not as much need for it now.
 
Well, I guess the only thing to do is to have the Michigan taxpayers build a new football stadium in Detroit. Oh, never mind. We already did.
 
Seems there were several teams vying for that first draft pick, including our very own Seahawks. But I'll hand it to the Lions, they won fair and square...
 
Jenny promised to "Blow us away" and now wants external_link to relieve her of the governors job by giving her a plush job in the federal gov-mint. Deport her back to Canada!
