hercules IXB Generator

hello
i've a generator with a Hercules IXB engine.
i think is homemade, but i have heard something they are of the army. he has the colours, don't know. any photo's of military generator with that engines?

Has to have a contractor tag or name somewhere. The military didn't make it just like they didn't make that Hercules engine.

Is it painted olive drab green and gen bolted to engine (direct coupled )? and not Belt driven ? I had a beat up one that I sold at an auction. It smoked and was missing parts, I got $5 for it !! Hahaha, but the laugh was on me , I drove 180 miles round trip to go to the auction , couldn't find any thing I wanted to buy. Well , gas was only $1.50 a gallon back then.

Is that a 6 cylinder. I have a military gen unit with a jxb engine. Was commissioned by the army signal corp. division.
