Didn't think I'd pay it forward this fast-

I stopped at my parents place today after work, and with the road conditions I missed the driveway and put my car in the ditch. Dad was gone to town and brother was on his way to pull me out, when a random guy with feed sacks in the back of his truck stopped to pull me out. Already had the strap on my car, and then wrapped it around his receiver.

Fast forward to a few hours later when I'm out the door to go to church, one of my neighbors in the apartment got stuck pulling into a stall. I Got the shovel out of our garage and shoveled out they're front tires so she could back out.

they're doing a heck of a job plowing out our parking lot this winter.....

Hey Don,

Gettin" sick of pushin" snow and it"s only December! Took a job last year pushin" in Madison. I"ve been there three times this week.

Thanks for helping them out. I too am sick of snow and winter, unfortunately, it's just started. Only 6 more months till spring(at least it seems like it). Chris

Yeah- I've got an older brother that lives down there. He decided he wasn't gonna buy a snow blower this year and instead use some sort of snow scoop that has wheels on it.

Now he's re-thinking that idea a little bit but snow blowers are getting scarce. Still a fair amount on craigslist, but most of them are old, worn out and need some work. He wants a newer one that he doesn't have to worry about.

Sounds like you guys have all the snow ya'll can handle. I wish we could get enough snow for the young'uns to have a little fun in..

We usually don't get but three or four snows down here that are enough to have a couple hours of fun in before it's gone..

I always try and help others out with their misery. I always get returned the favor.

How do ya'll raise animals up there so they don't freeze? How do you keep water thawed out?

I can sure understand the snow issue. We're on track for setting a record for the month of December, here in Michigan. We've got snowbanks typical of the middle of February, already. If this keeps up, we'll be in deep trouble. Would someone invite AlGore up here I have a resident shoveling position open.

Mom & dad keep them inside most of the time in the cold weather. Water bucket outside is shut off during the cold months, but they only go out for a couple hours each day to stretch out. They could survive longer outside, but it's nice to keep the barn warm too.

Same goes here. If we don't have the record by now, we will pretty soon. Been since the 1880's since there was this much snow in December...
