Really need some info to even comment on it:
What kind of outfit did you purchase it from?
What year, brand, model, mileage is it?
Date purchased and how much?
How soon did trouble start?
What condition did the seller present it as?
What warrantys were furnished and/or implied?
Have you put anything in writing to seller?
Have you ask for your money back?
Summarize your discussions with seller.

Bet you thought you got a hellava deal also.Your first clue should have been when they told you to bend over and grab your ankles.Sales/shop seldom sing from the same page in the song book.

its a used car dealer i got a 30 day warrenty 01 ram 2500 with a 360 had this problem when i test drove it suppose to be fixed before i drove off with it got in to bring it home no light all was good till i got to work the light come back on no problem called them said yeah ok bring it over havent given me any problems about fixing it just wouldnt listen to little ol me about what was really wrong wanted to change everything else well guess what now they want to fix what ive been telling them all along its got 124,000 on it i got it for 6500 no rust at all nice looking truck for my standards just a little ticked they wont fix all the codes at once go through one at a time but each code could mean several things

What happened to the tranmission pan? Are they replacing just the gasket or the pan? If you have been at this for several months, it seems you may have a money pit on your hands. If you can get all the leaking fixed and all the warning lights and error messages stopped, then I think I would put it up for sale and move on to something else. Tom

My pickup started setting codes, no buss, primary heater relay failure, PCM interface failure, etc. Finally stopped it all, by cleaning the battery cables. The negative cable corroded and one of the wires in the corroded mess was loose.

As you are finding out,car salesmen will tell you just about anything to sell you a car,but if they have to fix something, dont really want to do that. The shop and the salesman seem to belong to different organizations. One thing that could help if you have time to do it is stay right there with it.I would be out in the shop watching them, yeah they probably will tell you some lie like you cant be out there because of insurance or something, but I would tell them thats how its going to be,Im watching,(I once was an ASE certified mechanic and had the patches on my sleeve)so you might as well get over it and fix it.You might get the stuff you know about fixed that way.Anything else that shows up after that is probably going to be on you.Plus they might figure out they arent going to be able to lie to you about it so they might as well fix something.I have noticed on friends pickups that I drove during harvest, check engine light is on all the time. When it would rain they would try and fix it,but it was still on.My own pickup had the check engine light on and went to parts store and they check it,change a sensor, light goes out for a couple of weeks, then comes back on.It can be frustrating.A motor with over 100,000 miles on it like that might need the intake cleaned out,and new EGR,new catalytic converter, all kinds of sensors to make the check engine light stay off.It would be hard to say what it would take to fix it.
