Going to be a good year for the snomobilers. Actually thats a good thing. need to keep those at Arctic cat and Polaris working.

Bad for the rest of us? Not sure maybe get some moisture into the soil this spring.

What year was that here in MN 96 or97 that we had all that snow and - degs all winter.

Here in Nebraska during the winter of '83-'84, it basically started snowing the day after Thanksgiving and didn't stop till the end of February.

I was Buildings and Grounds Supervisor for a local public school district at the time. My crew and I would put in an 8 or 10 hour day moving snow, then come in the next morning and start all over again.

I"m usually a snow fan, but this year I"m tired of it...not so much the snow, but the cold. I hear San Diego is nice year round...

San Diego is nice year round. Daughter and SIL (from San Diego) are here for Christmas, and are freezing. Been on generator for 38 hours. Power is back on now. Currently 1 degree.

I got to thinking about that this morning. It hasn't been very many years ago that my son bought his first snowmobile just before Christmas. Snow was ahole deep to a tall Indian. It was so cold that folks were going to church just to hear about hell. About the day after he bought it,we got a thaw.Snow melted off and the only riding he did the rest of the winter was 100 miles north of here.

I think it was 97. The following spring had huge floods in western MN. Yes, the snow is great for the snowmobile mfgrs. Plus it is fun to play in!

Think positive. In 60 days or so spring will be here--or at least some spring weather. And as fast as November and December have gone, it'll be here before we know it.
