Well it's 4 degrees here in western PA and they say wind is 20-25 mph, wood stove feels really good, seems like it's taking a tad bit more wood to keep the old bones warm. a couples miles from the nuke plant in Shippingport, We kinda glow at night. Have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.... Don c

-10 in MN. its to bad for me I was looking for someone in MN.that has a woodstove in their shop that I could come over and spit on.........Hate to say it, it was my favorite passtime to work on equip. and take a break and sit with the brothers and spit on the wood stove

-20 below in northern wi woodstove in the house feels realy good just lit the stove in the garage so i can go to work in a while

Yep, it was 2 above yesterday morning, got up to a whopping 10 yesterday. 'Had to fill the outside stove about every four hours in order to keep the house in the 68-70 degree range. The wind was bad too. I worked hard last fall to get all my wood up and stored. When I finished haying, I used all my hay wagons to stack and store wood on. I filled three big wagons (stacked) and have them parked in the barns. There's nothing better than realizing the fruits of your labors when your throwing that wood in the fire. Gotta keep momma warm.

at work on the ohio river at a power plant just south of moundsville,wv here in the northern panhandle. recorder on computer says 8 degrees outside not including wind chill. i think its lying though, it feels colder. much warmer at home, add on furnace worked overtime last nite with the wind to keep house comfortable at 75 degrees. momma is cold natured, also. i have a clayton 1800g furnace. love the heat from it.

10 degrees (F) here in West Tennessee; nothing like a wood stove to warm the old bones.........

Yup. Fired up my wife's antique cook stove yesterday. First time since about 1995 or 96. Even cooked breakfast and lunch on it today.

Well now the price of oil that it was I said to the woman we ain't buyin any oil from them robbin son's a bleeps. I put in a new masonry chimney this fall and hooked up a wood stove. We've got 75 acres and I said seems foolish to own all that timber and not use a little to stay warm. I calculate I moved 9 tons of material to make the chimney. Yesterday it was minus 3 and we are snug as a bug here and I am feelin right good haven't bought one penny of oil!

-14 this morn in NW wisconsin. Fill the outdoor woodstove about 3 times a day now. keeps the house at 70, my hot water at 160 and shop at 45. bring on the cold ......ill just burn more wood, doesnt cost but little cutting gas and its good to get out in the woods to cut.
