It Is Winter in the Northwest ! !

We are in a battle now with temps down in teens and blowing and drifting snow. Have had two tractors out for 2 days moving snow from homes and businesses. Dug out a mini storage with 3-4 foot drifts and 180 overhead doors. That was a challenge. Supposed to get down to 5 degrees with a wind tonight. Those I.H. tractors sure will move the snow tho (Had to get that in /or not). More snow on the way says the weather lady! Stay warm I'll try to figure out how to post some pictures. Stay Warm and close to Mama. This is in very Northwest Wa. Migraine

I'm waiting for this crap to stop here in Michigan before I try to move any of it. Chores are done. I was gonna just feed hay and wait to feed silage, but figured what the heck. As long as I'm out here. It's getting awful deep though. Thinking I'll have to put a blade on one of the big tractors to get rid of all this. Could be worse. Temperature is about right. Around 20 degrees. Much warmer and it would be heavy and wet, slippery when you spin a tire on it. Any colder and the blowing snow would hurt like heck on the face. Worst part is,it's out of the east,so it's blowing in the barns and making for some wet bedding.

Just wait till this weekend a left over Hurricane from Hawaii is coming in and the cold is coming down form the north and will collide just off shore and then move in. Should be fun.
Snowing outside right now.
Walt

Digging out from 20+ inches over here on the east side...Orange is getting the job done!

About 5 inches in balmy Chehalis- intermittent snow flurries today, another bigger storm coming this weekend. Virtually every school in western Washington from here north is closed today (no-brainer- everybody's Christmas vacation starts Monday anyhow, so just start it a day early). The whole country seems to be in the grips of winter right now- even snow in Lost Wages, Nevada!

Hi Folks...Now My neighbors know Why I own a Farmall M With chains and a Blade.

Haywood in Spokane, Wa.

All melting here in Portland (please don't say it's from all the wacko's hot air!).
Maybe some warm air will blow up north, at least west of the Cascades; everything east of the Cascades stays frozen all winter, every winter, normally. I sometimes think Spokane gets colder than Frostbite Falls, Minn.
(With apologies to Rocky and Bullwinkle).

Migraine it isn't much better here in your old home state of Iowa.

Ice,sleet and snow last nite.

Snow is on top and high winds are coming this weekend.

Migraine,
My sister in Bellingham reported the same thing.Weather gonna clear up by Monday? She is coming back east for Christmas. Are you in Tthat town?

Vito

We live in Lynden which is 15 miles north of Bellingham. 3 miles or less from Canadian border, 8 miles from the ocean. It is very nice here in the summer though and no mosquitos. This cold snap should take care of our insect problems next year. I can't stay awake any longer , see ya in the a.m. migraine

Just came in from plowing snow in a gravel truck, 1:00 am, -16 c (what ever that is in normal)In an area that will almost grow palm trees, this is a bit of a shocker. 2 feet of snow, frozen water and cows that have never had to eat snow in thier life. I miss the mud.
