the hi today was 20 degrees with blowing flurries, got my trucking done by noon, as all the other customers had sence enough to stay inside and warm, so this it the time the companies d-8-r decides to break a track pin,and run the track halfway off the machine just for fun, but of course it didnt do it down in the pit or up on the road, it does it halfway down the trail to the bottom, the trail is about 3 feet wider than the 12'6 blade, so about 4 of us spent the rest of the day fixing it, only thing we could do is get a pin out of some old tracks off a d8-k we have and grind it down so it will slide in the ends of the chains and weld the outer ends to the chain,[ middle chain eyes are free to piviot] but at least we got the dozer down off the ledge, ordered new track chains, 6 grand each, now if i can ever get warm again
