OT: Computor Graphics/Pictures blurry?

OT: Help, My old Computor Monitor was starting to show 'Blurry" Pictures brought up from an E-Mail and some other sites. My new [90 days old] Computors Flat Screen Monitor is doing the same only a little worse.I was told to isolate the Power Source of the Computor and Monitor away from the Telephones,Fax,Printer and Message Recorder which I did with two long extension cords but this did nothing to correct this problem. Any suggestions to correct this problem?.I would be very grateful for a fix if any one can furnish me one.JC

Strange that it affects a flat panel LCD monitor. On the old Tube monitor somewhere in its control panel (on the monitor not in windows) there is a degause button- try that. Also any fans, electic heaters should be shutt off for testing. As far as the LCD panel the only thing I have found that affects them is the screen resolution. Try different settings (That is done in the windows control panels under display or right click on the desktop and select properties). Both monitors doing the same thing does tend to reflect back onto some sort of power issue. (your glasses are clean right? BTDT) I assume this issue applies to anything on the display and not just on the internet or in one program only.

I had the same problem last summer with two CRT monitors and a new flat screen. It was the PC, itself going kaput.

The video card (or on board video system is going. There is no way to make a flat panel unit fuzzy unless it gets fuzzy info. Video cards are laee than 50 to more than a small car. But a 50$ unit will probably do the tric. JimN

My wife was complaining about the signs being hard to read on the road, she got two cataract operations and they cleared right up.

I'm with the last guy though its most likely a bad Video card you may have to take the computer in to be tested it might save you a few buck in the long run.

Thanks for the input folks, but: The whole system is new,I've only had it 60 days and like I said the old Tube Type Monitor was doing the same, blurry picture, and my eyes are fine LOL.Had them checked just tuesday of this week matter of fact. This is a Dell Vostro 200 and fresh out of the box the Monitor displays blurry Images,of e-mail attachemnts, graphics used on advertisements, and on my and others blogs etc.Windows XP and Vista are the Systems being operated but mostly Windows XP. I have tried to alter the resolution, tried to clean up the Image on the screen by coaching the contrast etc. So far nothing works to give me a clear Image on the LCD Monitor. Again thanks for the help.JC
