A young man in our community was killed instantly yesterday when he was crushed by a big square bale of hay. Apparently he had lifted the bale too high with the loader on his tractor without tilting the forks forward. When it over-balanced, it rolled backwards and slid down the arms of the loader. He was crushed to death sitting on the seat of his tractor.

Very sorry to hear that. It's usually the young people that get hurt like that, likely on his or a family memebers farm too?Us older guys way too often take for granted that someone else who has less experience with equipment know all the dangers when they help us.

i dissagree about the young people at work this 6 out of the 9 people that have gotten hurt have 30plus years in just last summer a 77 y/o nieghbor was killed while brush hogging and got too close to the bank just some examples seems the older people seem to think ive don it that way for the last 30 years ill be alright well aint that easy
