Hey guys/girls, I need some help with my JD 2440 diesel. I have some fuel leaking from the injection pump. I have tried tighting all the conections I can get at and the problem still remains. I think it may be the seals on the pump leaking. Is this a big job to repair, something you can do yourself or take it to the JD dealer? Or does my problem lie elsewhere? Thanks for any input.

That ought to have a Roosamaster/Stanadyne JDB pump on it. You can buy a complete seal kit for $15. But, you ought to figure out where the leak is first. If it's leaking from a injector line where it fastens to the pump - buy some new banjo washers and put them in.
