Some of us are reminded every day of those times. less than 100 ft from my garage there is this building. my yard at one time was probably where they had recess. I think every time I sit on my front porch of how it was back then when the teacher must have tied up a buggy to the hitching post and with a feed bag or Hay they heuled for the horse and a bucket for water for it the hand pump is gone now but the well is still in service, it has a cement cover on it now but is beside the porch [ left side ].
It was used as a school til 1951, a church 1952 til 1957, then rented to a small engine repair man that mostly worked on chainsaws. AS it is now it is an Antique shop and going out of business and for sale by owner.
I won't ask the owner what he wants for it because I know he has a historical price on it and somewhat a little pricey for me, but I would hate to see it destroyed for housing's sake.
