That article is comforting. However, it seems to me that the notion of a tax on livestock was proposed not to demonstrate that the Clean Air Act is no good for regulating "greenhouse gases", but rather as a sort of trial balloon to gauge what the reaction would be. Having found out how people feel about this, they are now backpedalling. I don't think they really meant to do this tax, but perhaps they were seeing how much they might be able to get away with.

If the EPA does impose this tax will it make the cows fart less or is it just another way for big government to put the little man out of business? I think that the politians and people running our country have cow manure for brains.

It seems that the AFBF tried to squeak one by us. By the sound if it, the EPA was fuming when they found out about it.

just rerember the american consumer has a right given to them by god and farmers to have cheap food, and the u.s goverment as representitives of the people will enforce that right, which means they will not unduly tax food production, especially items like milk and beef.

After reading this, the only thought I have that will keep me awake tonight is that dairy cows must fart twice as much as beef cows!!!
