OT: Bird Feeder From PVC

My co-worker just made this bird feeder from pvc
he has a plug at the top & bottom for cleaning. He said it's loaded with birds. Said he used 4-inch pvc. Hal

Very nice feeder !
Wish I could see more detail as to how the individual stands are made.

WE have a lot of those yellow birds in the summer and seems like I'm always filling the smaller feeders with Niger seed. I like that idea.
 
I had to compress the size so they would post. I'v opened my email and if you want a copy of the email he sent I will send you a copy. It's probably a better view on how he made it. Hal

Looks like about 2 ft long which means it will hold less than 1 1/2 gal. Mine holds > 6 gal and I have to fill it weekly with black sunflower seed. More in the winter when the goldfinches flock in.
 
Do you grow your own sunflowers? They seem to keep going up in price. We have a lot of Cardinals and they love them. Hal
 
No. I go through 1 or 2 50# bags a month from the local feed and seed. Cardinals all year but the finches really flock in in the cold months. Falcons and hawks follow the finches. They get their share. And your right, seed prices have gone sky high.
 
We have hawks too. My wife took this pic through the kitchen window about a week ago. Hal
