Bad Year For Corn

The top picture is my cornfield last July after the windstorm hit. The next picture is at harvest. Worst corn I ever raised, about 70 bu/a. Next year will be better. Chris

Looks like storm hit right before pollenation and tasseling. A lot of barron stalks, I'm guessing. Did you have crop insurance? Jon

Chris, we had some like that too, but a tornado went through and leveled an old barn and scattered it throught the north end of the corn, board and tin everywere, that was very slow picking. The east side of the farm was under water and lost all the corn, 55 acres at the home place and 35 down the road. we are done and I am glad, Mike

I have guaranteed revenue coverage, I just bought too low of a rate, wish I had taken the high level. Had hail insurance also, but no wind ins. Waiting for a check, but it will just cover the bills. Better than going in the hole tho. Chris
