Hi, I have a chance to purchase a Massy Ferguson. The lady who ownes it know's nothing more than "it's a tractor". Unfortunatly, I don't know much more either. I believe the serial numbers to be 183253 that is stamped into the frame casting. From what little I have been around tractors I believe it to be a 196?'s model. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Serial # on all the 60's models were on a small metal plate somewhere close to the dash. Numbers "stamped into frame" sound more like part #.

Give us more to go on. 3 cylinder or 4, (or 6) Tranny? 4-speed, 3-speed w/hi/low, 4-speed w/hi/low? That'll narrow it down considerably.

4 cylinder, 3 speed with hi/lo lever. Can't think of much more. I could go back to see it again tomorrow. Anything I should look for? It's in pretty good shape, no leaks, paint's faded away, but fires right up. It was grey with red hood and finders by the way.
Thanks!

The 65 is late 50's - early 60's model, and the 100 series is late 60's - 70's.

If you can snap a picture of what you're looking at we can help.

Looks alot like the 65, I will get some pic's tomorrow, and look for a plate with the serial # incase what I have is incorrect. Thanks

Look anything like this'n? This is a Massey Ferguson 35. If your serial number was right, yours is a FERGUSON TO35 (1958 and may have been repainted somewhere along the line to match later MF paint scheme.
MF 35 / TO 35

Kinda partial to the 135's big brother myself, the 150. Same power rain, just a heavier front end, better steering, 8" longer wheelbase, bigger cooling system, bigger fuel tank, and a few more pounds.

Serial # are always stamped some place on the frame or main part of the tractor its the law. the plate is just for easy identification.

On my Saab Sonett its stamped on the cross plate under the seat which is part of the frame-work.

When i registered my Motor-home in Oregon they wanted to see the serial number in 3 different places, sure am glad he new where to look.

May (or may not be) law everywhere NOW, but in the 60's and 70's, serial #'s on Masseys were on an aluminum plate, screwed to the dash (or right under the dash on certain models)

Sorry guy's, no serial # tag on dash or any where else that I could see. Here are some pic's, I hope this helps.
Thanks
