Went to Aummanan auction yesterday 300 tractors.
You could not tell money was tight there.
They were spending it like they plan on makeing more of it. Thats good for any ression.
Price seemed on the high side to me.
But i guess that was good i was on the selling end............

Money is not tight for alot of people. There are alot of very wealthy people in the US and rare tractors are a good place for them to park their money.

I was talking to a guy in Montana who had 5 rare JD tractors he said a banker called and said he wanted them all, his friend said it was the safest place to invest his money. The way it sounded the guy did not even know how to drive a tractor.

I went there to Cold and windy. They need to enclose the buildings with tarps or plastic. I thought the prices were low MM Z $900, IH M $600, JD 4430 high crop runs looks good $7500, The only one exists MM LTS $42,000. I thought it would pass $100,000. jmo!!

Andy, saturday was one of the warmer days for a few years. The current setup is pretty good compared to the way it was in Nokomis.

I thought the prices pretty well reflected the environment. Good tractors still bring good money, average tractors don't sell too well.

That Oliver 2150 was a beautiful piece, but I'm not sure about $24,000 worth. Some of those orchard tractors were really nice and sold well.
I was watching the Allis tractors and was surprised that they sold so well, Case tractors on the other hand were dogs. I don't remember the price on a very nice LA but it was C-H-E-A-P cheap!

I thought there were a lot of real deals there, but a few bids got silly. A decent hi-crop 4020D went for about $7500, and an average to good 4020D side console brought $17,500! A good looking JD 830 brought $13000, and the next one, about as good, brought $8000. The last thing I watched sell was a very straight H Farmall that had been nicely restored some time ago, new tires, but had been left outside, stuck and faded, brought $17-1800, when a sharp rectored running one gets $2200. Hard to understand. It was a lot warmer than last year, but still chilly. Overall, a good auction and a lot of fun.
