ran across this.is it possibly a deal or a money pit? good bad points.would just use for a hobby 10 acre tract.

dont look like too bad of a deal, has 4 heads with it. combines can be a money pit tho.

Yes. The Perkins engine in it is worth 3 times that. I'd question owning a machine that size on 10 acres though.

Well, at custom rates it should pay for itself in 2 years on your 10 acres. 4 heads, you could make money if you bought it and seperated and resold. I just LOST a deal on a 4400 JD witha bean head for $1000, still kicking my hindend for hesitating on that one. You see alot worse combines SELLING for far more.

thats one unit I wouldn't take if you give it away. Masseys always equal money pit broke down all time. Father in law evene bought them new and alwasy had h$$$ TIME WITH THEM. Get the green or other red and you will be way better off. Just my thoughts

Id want to know more whats up with the cross auger. If its had a brick in there or spun a bearing on the shaft it might cost more to fix than you pay for the whole thing.

We have two identical Massey mowers one is just great. the other is pain in the rear. always broking something expensive.
