What is the difference between a mower gear box speed of 1.35:1 compared to 1:1 speed? will the gear box with 1.35:1 gears spin faster, or slower than the 1:1 gears? Stan

Depends on how it's mounted... but usually they are listed as input
utput, so it should slow the output shaft. (input shaft has to spin 1.35 times for each turn of the output shaft.)
