OT Illinois Hunting License

I have been looking on the Ill DNR site and can't find what I'm looking for, see if any of you know. Do active duty military personel need a license to hunt in Ill? Son got to come home for Thanksgiving and wants to go hunting this morning. I found the site to buy license online, but doesn't say anything about active duty personel. I thought I had heard that active duty didn't need one. BUT, Blago is broke and looking any $$ he can get his hands on, so maybe that's changed. Chris
 
Thanks for the information.I looked it up and he doesn't need a license. Not sure, but will he still need a habitat stamp? If I read it right, if you have a license you need a habitat stamp, but he doesn't need a license, so? Thanks again, Chris
 
And so why didn't they just raise the cost of the license and forget the Habitat Stamp?

We have the same here in Iowa.

Got have a stamp to hunt as well as the license.

They think we aren't smart enough to figure out it is still a cost or what?

Good Question. I'm not sure if it's the price of the stamp or the fine that you get for not having it they are after.. I bought mine online, so I'm good to go. He is on his way over here from his inlaws, and I called a neighbor and got the OK to hunt his timber. Gotta get ready to go now. Y'all have a good'n. Chris
 
If he is a resident of IL, make sure he has his FOID card when he hunts. Those state boys will nail you for not having one of those silly cards if you have a firearm or ammunition unless you are from out of state.
