We have a 460 int. tractor that the clutch doesn"t seem to want to release.Makes it hard to shift. The clutch rod has been beefed up so I know that is not flexing. The torque stays in high all the time no matter where the lever is also. Is it time to spit her for a new clutch?

I agree with Kevin, I had a 460 where one of the TA clutch fingers was broke off. You couldn't get it out of gear unless it was rolling. I'd start there.

If the TA is way out of adjustment, it will act like that. if the mechanism is broken that releases the TA clutch, it will also do that. Adjust by the book first, then go for the split. JimN
