Death of the new McCormick Tractor???

So have they already stopped making the new "McCormick" tractors? I saw a vid on youtube about the last tractor being made just prior to the plant being torn down. Didn't these tractors come back to life just a few years back?

Yeah, there was a big to do about McCormick coming back, and carrying on the tradition of quality and reliability.

Never heard much more about them though........
This was a newer plant they tore down???

That's a shame. I have a Farmall 806. Saw the new ones a while back and wished I could afford one. Bet it is tough making it as a tractor company in these hard times.

That's what I'm wondering. They're still advertising new ones. Nothing but a Case IH with a Cummins engine, built in England weren't they?

Not for sure but I tthink the McCormick tractor are the European Case-IH built in Doncaster England. When Case-IH merged with New Holland it was part of the deal to spin that factory off.New Holland also had to give up the "Versatile" tractor that is now Buehler.

There is a dealer here that is selling a lot of new McCormicks.

I never heard that they quit making them.

I think you're exactly right.I remember there was a dealer near here for abit.Closed up a few years ago now,but the beuhler's looked like red genisus fords, and the mccormic's looked liked brighter red mx's and bigger.

Landini in Italy purchased the old IH & CaseIH plant at Doncaster England several years ago. They also purchased the rights to the McCormick name. They produced a range of tractors based on the CaseIH models as McCormicks and for CNH as CaseIH.
The Italians decided in late 2007 to close down the Donacaster plant and move production to Italy. The CaseIH models production line was transfered to the New Holland (Ford) plant at Basildon England.
All McCormicks today are produced in Italy, some models are based on older Case IH models like the CX, MTX etc. The sub-100HP models in the C-Max range are pure Landini painted red with McCormick decals.

I"ve seen an ad for Buehler from a dealer over in Mississippi, and they sure look like the NH Genesis lineup. Am I wrong? I"m beginning to think alot of these tractors only have different colors, cowlings, motors, and names. Except for Deere.
