case 530ck engine is siezed

how should I free the engine? I bought it this way, was told it is just from sitting. So far I removed the plugs. filled cylinders with wd40, its been sitting like this for 2 weeks now still will not turn over. I was told not to drag this machine, any segesstions Thanks Tom

I wouldn't drag it. If you have valves stuck you could end up with bent push rods or if one piston only is stuck you could bend a rod. I would pull the head and see what you have to deal with.

WD40 is worth less in a locked up engine. Water works better then it does. Blow that stuff out and fill the cylinders with ATF and let it sit. NEVER ever try to pull one thats locked up or it can cost you broken parts big time. Then after about a week set a battery in it and use short fast taps on the starter. Watch for it to pop free. If it starts to move then keep it moving if not let it sit a bit longer

If yoy can get to the flywheel teeth with a pry bar you can put a lot of torque on it without hurting any thing. If it stuck sitting in the last year I bet you can get it loose that way. take plugs out and rock the engine back and fort with the pry bar.

Thanks Dickl . that seems to be the next plan I guess this engine has sleeves and rebuildable parts are available, looks like this is my winter project, Thanks agian, Tom

Tom, I'd go with Old and Dick L suggestions you can't be in a hurry with a stuck engine I've been there, once you remove the head you may find a cylinder full of water or who knows what. Caution superscedes valor a good shop manual doesn't hurt either. Good Luck and have fun.

I use a concoction of brake fluid, transmission fluid and diesel fuel to free some things up. It might help on that. It probably won't though...
I'm more of the opinion that if an engine is properly stuck you're better off to just pull the head and have a look, then go from there.
I think often times you spend more time and money trying to polish a turd (free an engine) then it would cost you to tear it apart and throw a kit in it. Rebuild it and then you know what you have.
Your call on that one...

Ihave time but I think Ill be doing a tear down this winter, thanks again.
