Tractors at auction

Went to a consignment auction in northern Iowa this morning and froze my tail off waiting for a couple of tractors to sell. They had a 77 RC nf Oliver and a '69 4020 gas with side console, Year Round cab and Westendorf loader I wanted to see sell. The 77 RC Oliver was original and as nice as I have seen. It had dual hydrualics, a factory tachometer and a pulley. It even had factory hydrualic cylinder holders mounted on each fender. And she started right up, just as proud as she could be, when the auctioneer asked the owner if she ran. I wasn't as interested in the 4020 but you always have to pay attention when they sell a John Deere. It was in good shape as well. The Oliver sold for $1750 and the 4020 with the loader sold for $11,700. Unfortunately, I had to stand there with my hands in my empty pockets and watch as someone else took that good looking Oliver home.

I had to do the same last winter in about 5 degree windy weather in MN. Watched a very straight, nice running 350 Farmall with new tires and a good TA go for $1200. Darn empty pockets! :)
