My WD45 has lift arms to handle round bales of hay. Sometimes it will lift with no problem other times only 6" off groung. Hydraulic reservoir is full. I tested pressure with a gauge and sometimes it is between 2500 - 3000 psi and other times not over 1500 psi. Are the linkage adjustments incorrect or what else may be the problem?

When you go to push up the lift lever do it very easily. Tractor engine doesn't need to be wide open either, maybe half throttle. With time you'll figure things out.

I had some 3 point arms(lower arms) that fastened to the drawbar bale underneath. Sometimes would lift a bale other times not. Extended them on down to the pin(on WD)or the snap coupler bell on WD45 and you can lift twice as much without a problem. These are close 1000 lbs bales.
