it's upside down

the h4 mag you have in the vise is upside down turn it over. if you look between the impulse coupling( the part you were turning) and the side of the case you will see a little dog, screw like thing that has to use gravity for it to catch. clip a vise grip on one ear of the coupling and trip it several times, it should work. ground a spark plug with a wire on it to the vise. put the other end in the coil cap and watch for a spark on every snap. with your coil to cap wire installed plug you spark plug wire into one of the four remaining points of the dist.cap, you will only get a spark every fourth snap of the coupling. this should cure what ails you.

bob i'm not smoking anything... I was trying to be helpful to a post a couple down the list from this posting. however the system for some reason made it a new posting and didn't connect it to the one below about the mag on an allis. I don't claim to be very good with the computer, however I have fixed a few mags in my day. I'm not looking for YOUR CRITICISM. I'm just trying to be helpful as, that is what I thought this site was all about... If you would look at the other posting I put a note in there to read the misplaced posting. I sorry i'm not as perfect as BOB. BOB i'm sorry for any spelling errors you may have found.

Take a joke, for Pete's sakes!

You gotta admit the post was pretty darned obscure after the Forum software chewed it up on spit it out where it didn't belong.

And, I made NO comment on SPELLING!

Yet another anonymous poster..............

Lacking the courage to post with your own name/handle I see?

Out of all of the antics I've seen on this website, anonymous posting seems to top the list as the most "bottom of the barrel"..............

Kind of like the sucker punch that is thrown by an individual who is afraid to square off with his/her opponent................

I'm not sure these indivduals are worthy of much more consideration than a common house fly, merely to be swatted with a newspaper and swept away with the trash.................
