Continental Y112 Engine

Does anybody know what tractors had the Continental Y112 engine, or variations of it, in them. I need some parts and want to know what to look for.

Also know any salvagers that may have Continental parts?

Thanks,
JP.

DON'T KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TRACTORS IT CAME OUT ON. THEY WERE USED ON SOME WELDERS AND OTHER APLPLICATIONS. YOU MIGHT TRY NAPA FOR SOME PARTS OR SOME WELDER SALES AND REFAB SERVICES. MY MILLER BIG 20 HAS A Y112 ENGINE ON IT. GOOD LUCK.

This engine was, as mentioned, used in Ag equipment, forklifts, towmotors, small trucks, Lord knows what-all...
Truck version Y4112, WHICH MAY ROTATE OPPOSITE TO Ag version Y112 and Power unit version PY112. If yours has timing gears, truck version will have timing chain, or vice-versa (mislaid my notes).
List of wrecking yards at atis.net, and a list on adeptr. com, I think under tractor salvage?
If wrecking yards need specific models, can send some.
You might also post on hcea.net or run archives there for eqpmt salvagers. Good luck.

Thanks for all of the great info guys.

The motor is in my Clark C500-30 forklift. It's looking like a bigger job than I anticipated (surprise!! ??). But that machine owes us nothing and it suits our needs. I love these old machines that are worth almost nothing but do the same job as a $40,000 (____ese) new one.

I'll dig in and be sure to let you know how it goes.

Thanks again,
JP.

If going to overhaul yourself to to Wisconsin Motors site and download the parts manual and overhaul manual for Continental L Head (flat head) engines. The manuals show all the different front covers and mounts. Not all engines are the same or would be a direct bolt in fit. The T series are the overhead valve engines.

Hi: I think I may have a rebuilt engine for your Clark Forklift. I always thought it was a Y 91 , but maybe its a Y112. We'll have to compare the Casting #'s etc. I took it in trade for some work I did for a guy , He said he sold the forklift it was in before he needed the engine. I'm in Calif (LA) Email me if you are interested and want pix ......

If you still have the engine, I may have a use for it. Could you send me photos and let me know what you would want for the engine?

Ron
