Factory toolboxes didn't show up until what? 06s or the 56s?

First factory toolbox I remember seeing was on a 656.

That is a Heisler aftermarket toolbox and somewhat rare.I had one but sold it a while ago as I got away from Farmall tractors and back to John Deere.Should get my head examined.Pretty cool piece though.

Pappy and Grand-dad sold the IH factory light-bar tool boxes for H'sand M's in the 1950's...but they were a factory accessory sold at the dealership, and not installed at the factory

The 706 didn't come out until 1963, and Pappy had sold a ton of tool boxes by then. One pair of local farmers, a father and son who were awfully fond of their Pabst Blue Ribbon, used to carry a few cans in the light-bar tool box whenever they made hay. Warm or not, I guess it did cut the dust...but hot beer never was one of my favorites.
