Hello all,

I need to buy a fuel pump for a 67 Jacobsen Chief 1000 with the Kohler K 2415 Engine. 2 part numbers my grandfather has written down do not come up in any searches on the web. They are 46264 D, and B 256998.

If anyone knows where I can order this fuel pump, please let me know!

Thanks,

Jack

go to EBAY and get a after market pump and just forget about the kohler one one EBAY type in electric fuel pump and look for ones for about 23.00 get the 2 to4 psi and you will be good to go they come from florida i use them all the time on Briggs and kohler engines just put one on a skid steer bobcat 440 with a 18hp magnum engine

Also, my fuel pump is not electric, it has the plunger metal rod that goes in the engine. The one on the tractor now was recently replaced about 5 months ago, but it has failed.

if you have a 12 volt battery on the tractor then you just forget about the old pump just run fuel line to electric pump then to carb. them kohler fuel pumps run from 75 to 125 bucks thats why i by pass them

Thank you so much for your time...I have just one more question. Where the old fuel pump was located, there oviously is an opening for the plunger that goes into the motor...should I just cut a piece of metal to cover it and drill 2 holes for the bolts, and put some blue gasket stuff to seal it? Thanks!

or you could leave the old fuel pump in place for now. Just watch that the diaphragm doesn't rupture itself and start to pump oil The engines that had a vacuum operated fuel pump. had such a plate you're talking about.
