I own a 1976 Case/David Brown 990 w/blown motor, im looking to find out who the engine maker is so I can purchase a new engine block. Can anyone help?

Ventilated block?
I dunno if Case still supplies such parts yet or not, but you could try.
You might be better off looking for a good used one.

I have a neighbor with one that has a bad clutch... last I knew, he was thinking about selling it. Where are you? This one is in n/w WI.

That was a David Brown built motor, I'll bet you can find a junkyard one.
