OT Utility Trailer value

What would a heavy duty older pintle hitch trailer be worth? It is a 6x12 with a fold down gate/ramp. It has solid sides that are probably 2ft high. It hasn't moved in 8 years and the tires need replaced and I am sure the electrical system doesn't work.

Thanks for your opinions

Fabricted at home using angle iron which is now all rusty, tires dryrotted, bearings frooze, wheels rusty, electrical system must be replaced, and deck all rotted = $100.

Fabricted in factory with square tube and still has all paint, no rust, good wheels and tires, sprrings and brakes like new, dual axle with good lubed bearings, and deck like new = $2500.

Agree with Vern. Start with $2500 in good usable shape and then deduct for all you find wrong. Make shure it has papers for registration, in some states that can be a real pain to fix..

I was searching for a trailer up in the northern Michigan area to move some of my tractors. Found out Presque Isle Power and Light had one for sale and I bought it. Seemed like a good deal to me.

1993 tilt-bed Ditch Witch T12A trailer, tandem axle HD with fold-up 16" ramps, 3" pintle hitch, brakes on both axles, etc. Has almost new 16" tires, 12,400 lb. GVRW, 6 1/4 feet wide by 13 feet deck length. Local power company in northern Michigan sold it to me for $800. I used it to truck a Ford 641 tractor with loader, and also a Deere 420 crawler loader. Worked fine for both.

The critical issue- is it single or double axle? Most guys are afraid to haul anything much heavier than a Jersey calf on a single axle, and with good reason.

Cheap.
I bought a 25' tri a few years ago for 900 I think. This one needed tires and lights but was otherwise sound with a good epoxy paint job. No papers and no brakes on this one which wasn't an issue to me. Also a 3" pintle ring...
I'd think you'd be closer to the 200 mark than 900...

Not sure how anyone could put a price on it without knowing what/how many axles are on it, brakes or no brakes, rated capacity, etc.
