Hi everyone... this is Subha Shetty from the Buyer Experience team.

For multi-quantity listings, both research and the input we've received from sellers indicate that buyers tend to purchase less often when they see a large quantity of items available. This is most likely because they feel a lack of urgency to purchase, or they perceive that the item isn’t selling well.

For this reason, we're changing the quantity displayed on multi-quantity listings that have more than 10 items for sale. Instead of displaying the actual quantity, such as "83 available," we're now displaying "more than 10 available."

FleaBay can be a great marketing tool or at least it was at one time. The general feeling I get anymore is that FleaBay is being run by a group of teenage geeks who have had nothing but success in good times. Now times arn't so good, they are at a loss as to what to do. Profits and sales are heading down and with their lack of a realistic veiw of how things work in the real world they are scrambling to make something work.
I've stayed away from Ebay lately. After the last couple 'improvements' it's just a PITA to bother with. Most times unless an item is a one off item no longer available, Factoring in shipping and handling charges it's cheaper, faster and safer to find it locally.
 
I was lookinig for a collet chuck for 5-c collets. found one on e-bay, they want 300 to 600 dollers and 40.00 for the back plate .
done some searching and found the same thing for 199.00 for the chuck and 30.00 for the back plate. soooooo e-bay has priced themself out of my budget anyway. Jer
 
It always amazes me the folks i run into that have just discovered Ebay and think its the best thang since sliced bread,,, seams to B a never ending market for new-bs,,, sorta like the only show in town...
