johne deere 870 not shifting

I was able to get my tractor moving. I drove it down to the road in second gear got the rpms all the way up stepped down on the clutch and began stepping down on the brake and letting off then down again I did this for several minutes with no solution the clutch still doesn't work when I stepp down on it. I did upset the neighbors though. Any other advice out there. Could it be electrical? Help!!! Jason

Good heavens man, slow down. Sounds like you're tearing the crap out of it. And no, that's definitely no electrical problem.. what you have is either a bad clutch or poor adjustment.

What you really need is to have someone else look at your tractor based on the fact that you thought it was an electrical problem.

Good luck.

Thing is though Rob,he said in an earlier post that it was OK when he parked it earlier in the summer. I bought a combine a year ago that had a stuck clutch. I had to take a cover off and spray PB Blaster in there on the splined shaft. It had a ceramic button clutch,so I wasn't too afraid of damaging it with the Blaster.I pretty much sprayed it all over in there. It finally popped loose by holding the pedal down and spiking the brakes.
