I've been told that adding two gallon of gas to 20 gallons of diesl fuel will keep it from jelling. Will that work. The power source treatment i usually use is about 5 bucks a quart now.

I am cental MN, If I cant get what they call "Arctic mix" I have them top off my #2 diesell with the same amount of #1.

I wouldnt put gas in.Put bout 1gal of kero for every 50 of diesel.Im in Maine and thats what we do for log trucks, skidders, tractors and no2 oil for home heating. Hoss

The 10% unleaded gas /diesel mix is old standard for anti gel below 26 degree wax/gel point temperature of olderdiesel fuels. New ultralow sulfur diesel is supposed to be good to abou 10 degrees before gel- check supplier. IHC old manuals have the cold temperature sugested mix, Cummings, Mercedes, Puegot, Perkins diesel manuals also showed 10-20% fuel mix for cold weather. 2stroke oil or engine oil added to mix for pump lubrication also shown- a 20:1 2stroke mix added to diesel used in Alaska sometimes, basicly the old chainsaw mix that was handy. Note that this does NOT mean ethanol mix. RN

Most fuel in our area is blended starting with about 10% # 1 about the first of november and by mid to late Dec it will be 50/50 mix tell April.
I usually have enought # 1 added to bring my bulk tank to 50/50. We usually have two to three weeks of - 30 f.nites some time between now and April.

Spell check not used. I'm more familar with IHC tractors(560D,350D) and the Peugeot, Perkins, Mercedes recommendations from Jeep/Renault dealer days. .
