getting a gas tank inside cleaned and sealed

I have a friend who has cletrac gas tank that needs cleaned inside and sealed he needs to know where he can get this done.Please e-mail me.Thank You
 
He should try doing it himself. It's not hard to do. I know POR-15 makes a gas tank cleaner/sealer kit. All you do is dump the stuff in the tank and slosh it around. If it's real rusty and gummed up toss a few short lengths of chain in there and slosh that around. I saw the other week where someone on here posted a picture of a gas tank strapped to a rear tractor wheel just for this purpose.
 
Red Kote works well too. Just follow the directions on the can. Bang on it with a rubber mallet or a block of wood. Shake the stuff out,rinse it out with water. Let it dry a day or so. Pour in the Red Kote,tip it around in every direction,then turn it upside down and pour out the excess. Let it dry. As far as I can tell it'll last a lifetime.
 
I had bad luck putting chain in and shaking.
I did that and the chain got all knotted up and was too big to come out the filler neck. I thought I was gona have to throw it away. I thought about taking it to gynecologist an see if he could get it unknotted through that little hole.
 
bought a kit from the dupont paint supplier might have been por 15 & did the very rusty tank on my 51 s case was easy & did a great job
little pricey is all think it was $80 cdn

I took mine to a radiator shop. They boiled it out & resealed it. Shiny as a new silver dollar inside. No muss no fuss. I will never try cleaning one out any other way again.
 
Used POR after chaining the tank to the rear tire of a tractor for cleaning.
Loaded tank with steel nuts to allow picking out with a magnet later.
The tank looked "clean" after pressure washing. I was shocked at the crud that an hour"s tumbling loosened.
