1947 Lincoln Pipeliner

Does anyone know what to torque the head on an old Hercules 6 cyclinder engine on a old linclon welder type 300 model 101. Also need a starter if you can steer me the right direction. I am told it is a prestolite starter 6 volt pos. ground. Any other info you may share on these old welders would be appreciated.

Find an old MOTORS Truck Repair Manual. In the
back are lots of specs for industrial engines.
Up through the 50s lots of trucks such as REO,
White, Diamond T, used Hercules, Hall-Scott,
even Lycoming made truck engines. The specs are still available in those books, still easy to
find at some used bookstores, or old garage or
shop sales.
