Adding cutting disk's to IH 45 digger

Came across an older 16' disk(?). It is a single row disk, not a tandem. I am curiously thinking it would be nice to do some fab work and mount it to the front of my 45 IH digger, thinking being it would maybe work to allow using the digger to min till cornstalks in the spring with the digger. I have a friend that is a good machinist, fabricator, weldor, but I hate to do something that isnt gonna work, or worse.

On a chisel plow, where you have more clearence for trash,I might say try it,but I don't think a single row of disc blades will chop things fine enough for the trash to flow through. Another consideration,is the tongue long enough on that 45 so you won't snag a tire on the 1750 when you are turning with that rig on the front of it?

Nice idea, but I agree a 45 won't have the clearance for one gang of light disks to help it.... I can double disk my grazed cornatalks and the 45 would struggle to get that through. And the cattle worked them over pretty good to start with.
