Beans were running 13.5%

its a D, notice the old JD hyd. cyl. now this is a relaxing way to harvest. hopefully no machinery payments due here.
 
It's a 1948 John Deere D pulling an 1940 Allis Chalmers model 60 combine. I did use it before I put the cylinder on the header and The cylinder is a DEFINITE improvement. No payments either, I've had both for almost 20 years.

i need to stop reading these posts, makes me miss teh days of harvest, out alone on the tractor in teh field watching pheasants and deer walk around.

just days of city life and white color office work.
 
Have you added power trol to the old D? I saw one down to Mc Grews with an AO seat and power trol on it, made the D a much more usefull tractor.
