Remington 597

Has anyone has any personal experience with the Remington 597 Magnum LS HB chambered in .17 HMR??

Are there jamming issues or do they have that ironed out?

Ruger used to carry the .17 HMR in a semi-auto version but I was told they were plagued with jamming issues so they discontinued........

I'd perfer the .17 HMR in semi-auto, BUT not if it's prone to jamming..............

my uncle has a little 17 hmr. He loves the thing. Glorified pellet gun really, but super fast. great gun for the prarie dogs!

I love my .17 HMR. It's amazingly lethal on woodchucks. It's hard to believe such a tiny little (17 gr) pill can just roll them over dead the way it does on chest shots. They still crawl down their holes on belly hits though.

got the savage accu-trigger, stainless with polmer stock
love it, love being able to set the trigger myself

taurus is making a 17 in a pistol, thats my next gun buy

.17 HMR Taurus Tracker. 6" barrel, as new, less than 50 rounds fired through it.
