Tractor hydraulics

I am about to purchase a used New holland TC35 A. I noticed that there is a small Hydraulic fluid lead at what I believe is a hydraulic distributor , under the tractor. Checking the hydraulic fluid level revelled that the level was high. Draining off one half gallon brought it down, but it was still a bit high. Should I be very concerned about this, or can I just set it right once I get the tractor home. The tractor has 550 hrs, 200 by the present owner who purchased it as a lease return, from the dealer.
I hope to complete the sale on Thursday evening. Please help.
Thanks Christopher

I wouldn't be concerned about the level. I usually overfill most of mine by a few gallons...
I'd want to know why it's leaking though... Could be just an o-ring or gasket, but it could take a bunch of time to fix.
I'm not too familiar with the TC's generally though.
