I have a B allis Challmers that i can not seem to get any gas thru the carb. I have taken it a part and blew out a couple times float seems to work but can not get gas to drain out of bowl. What is something to soaak it in. Any ides
This is hand start up draft carb

Check for a stuck needle valve above the float. Check for a clogged inlet screen on the inside end of the fuel line inlet adapter.
Check for fuel flow out of the fuel line when disconnected from the carburetor.

There are solvents specially made for soaking carburetors found at good auto parts stores.

#1 you need to buy a good kit for it. Not one for TSC but one from say an O'Reilly"s auto part store and also buy a gal. bucket of Berrymans carb cleaner to soak the carb in. Kit will cost around $20 and the carb cleaner will be about twice as much but will last for years if you take care of it. The carbs on an Allis C have a non adjustable main jet which can be a problem . BTDT to many times and have a few of them

I have had similar problems on both my Fords and a Furgenson. All of the times it has been the rubber tip on the float needle sticking. I blame it on the ethenol in the gas. I would really like to find some of the old all metal needles. Any Ideas where to get these.
