I have what I think is a model 611 B. The serial number tag is missing as are any decals. Is there any way to establish the year and model without these?
 
Ask on the Case Forem here, i have a 611B, it,s a 1958. throtle on the left of steering wheel and Case-O-Matic lever to the right of steering wheel.
High & Low Trans. lever to right in front of gearshift.
 
That is exactly what mine has, do you know if there is any way to track down the original serial number I am the 3rd owner and have no idea who the 1st was.

611B was only made two years, 1957 and 1958. I have one with a wide front end and the serial plate is on the rear outside of side pannel near throttle.

Do a search on the Case forum. We went through a discussion with another guy who was trying to identify his tractor which we thought was a 611B. I think the head casing number is also a good clue.
 
Can you tell me how to get the throttle and hi-lo speed levers off. It looks like they are held on with roll pins but mine are a little smashed up and I don't want to break or drill anything if there is a way to remove them that I may be unaware of.
