coil for ford tractor

I am replacing ignition coil for 1962 ford tractor. It is a 6 volt positive ground system. The old coil has terminals marked battery and distributor, the new coil has only a positive and a negative. Since this is a positive ground should the wire that now comes into the battery terminal on the old coil go to the "negative" terminal on new coil?

The wire from the ocoil to the distributor should always be the same sign as the electrical system ground. For a positive ground system, the distriutor wire should be on the positive(+) coil terminal. Therefore the negative terminal is connected to the ignition switch side of the circuit.
