OT Craigslist questions

Craigslist looks like a decent site to buy/sell on. The only thing I disike about it is that they have the country broken up into so many reigions it takes forever to look at equipment in say a three state area. Also if you have something to sell you have to list it in each reigion. Is there some feature that I am missing on this site that would allow me to look at a larger geographical area at one time or to list an item in multiple areas at once?

I think you're missing the fact that it's absolutely free of charge. Craigslist makes all its money from a certain type of commercial customers. The creators of the Website don't want global searches. That being said, there always seems to be somebody writing new search engines for it and posting them, on-line, for free. A few were posted on this forum a few days ago.

Ebay bought out much of Craigslist - so I suspect, eventually, it will get ruined - just like Ebay has.

I get your point for what you want. But on the other hand when I was searching just my area yesterday for cars and truck, there was about 100 new entries for just one day. I checked it every hour until I got what I wanted.
Didn't some one say that you could search the whole country with goggle by some thing like this "craigslist.org tractor"

Try :Craig's helper .com " you can search state by state, cites or anyway you like . As for posting to sell, I think it's done that way to cut down on scammers and spam . Beware ,,once you list to sell something ,your going to get alot of scammers , easy enough to spot and weed through them . I just listed a MaxII 6 wheeler monday , and i bet I have gotten 4 replies referring to it as "Item ": wanting to send check and to cover shipping . SCAM

One minor drawback with Craigslist is that it's haunted by people who buy stuff to resell on EBay (which I have no objection to, as I used to buy-sell in my collecting days to defray expenses myself).
So you'll get calls or emails from low-ballers, but it's just part of the process.
