tractor selling scams

how much of a problem are these? been looking at ebay but some of these restored but needs a long list of stuff. ye right.

I noticed some of them ads too. Some look like pure bs. Especially when you get into the little bit newer stuff like the 4440's and 1486's and stuff like that with only 3500 hours! Yeah. Believe that. We dont even hardly see them tractors on retirement sales anymore. I wouldn't so far go to trust ebay machines. Heard alot of scary stories there. Just speakin my mind.

If its looks too good to be true, it probably is. There are alot of dishonest people out there. Its better to pay a little more locally and deal with a person than it is to lose money all together at any amount.

I actually ran across a John Deere 4430 with only 3600 hours on it a few months back. Ran great, good sheet metal, just some hydraulic leakage out of the #1 SCV.

It pays to be able to see and test out what you're buying.

I would stick to tractorhouse or ironsearch to make a purchase Craiglist if I was able to inspect the unit.

Just don't think I would be able to sleep at night if I bought something without being able to inspect it first.
