Hi all,

I'm trying to sell my mother's 1971 gravely super convertible tractor and am unsure what to ask in terms of price. Was going to just rely on people more exert than I making informed bids, however while there are a few people interested no one seems to really know how much it's worth. It's not in perfect condition: there's a bit of rust and a faulty ignition system. Anyone out there have any hints as to its value? I'd be hugely appreciative of any insight offered. Thanks!

I would check on Ebay for same condition Gravely's....I repaired one for an older gentleman who swore by them....It got "buried" in his back yard when I went to pick it up..I had to use my pickup truck and a rope to snatch it out of the mud..They were one tough little tractor in their time....But that was then , this is now...

yeah, it's a two wheeler with an attachable sulky and rotary plow.

(quoted from post at 15:37:28 09/29/08) Isn't the super convertable a 2 wheeler ?

And what attachments ?

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately I couldn't find anything near its age on ebay. Will keep checking. And my mother's of the same mind as that older man you mentioned. Loved the thing. Says it's the only thing she's ever owned that worked without breaking down for 30 years.

With those attachments and such if in good working order maybe $800. If someone wants it, about $250 otherwise.

Fantastic, thanks so much! Makes me want to get it all fixed up before selling it now. Hmm....
