Got a question, whats going custom harvest and haul'n rates this year in your areas. I have 55 acres (15 corn, 40 beans) and a neigbor who told me last winter he would custom harvest it for me. He has not done any custom work the last 20 years and I have never had any done. He said that we'd work something out and now its time and he and I don't know where to start. Hope'n some of yall can give me an idea of a fair price.

(Haul'n is going to be 20 to 30 miles.)

Thank you much.

Dave

check with local University Extension they will have a table I think my neighbors got $28 an acre to combine it and 10 cents a bushel to put it in the bin I thought it was a little steep on the hauling but may not have been

In 2007 Purdue had the bean cuttin rates at $23/acre and $25/acre for corn. Assume a gallon per acre so that would raise it roughly $2/acre. Most around here charge at least $0.10/bushel for even the short trips.
