Headed out to the coal springs threshing bee and tractor pull this morning, going to pull my IH 400 diesel and JD R diesel, looks like its going to be a nice day! Hope I have good luck pulling today, I will have Dad take some pics today so I can post later! Have a good day all!

We had a great day at the trheshing bee and pull, This was near Bison SD on sat. I pulled the 400D and the R, both were in the same weight class, I pulled the R and took second out of 11 tractors, pulled 131% of the tractor wieght at 306 feet, My good friend took 1st with his warmed up 660, he pulled 139% At 310 feet, we were the only two tractors to make a full pull, 3rd was an oliver 99 diesel, he was 290 ft and 120%, The ol R really made great a pull, she lifted the tires about a foot off the ground and pulled hard all the way to the last puff!, ecxcellent traction, just a little light on HP. The whole family had a great day and lots of fun! too bad this is the last pull of the year up here!

here are some before and after of the R, The 400D did not pull as well, It seemed to have good power, but then just kinda fell down. this was the first time I pulled it as I had just aquired it, If I cant sell It I will have to learn up on this tractor, and squeeze a little more power out of it.
